Business Messaging
Customer Text messaging
Program description
Lawn-care Businesses using TurfBoss may send Customer Texts to their Customers about service at the Customer's property. Each Business is the sender of its own Customer Texts. TurfBoss prepares each Reminder or Delay Notice; the Owner reviews it and sends it from their own phone on the Manual Channel.
SMS Consent
A Customer receives Customer Texts only after giving SMS Consent to the Business that services their property. SMS Consent can be given verbally to the Business, in writing on the Business's intake or estimate form, or by texting START to the Business's number.
Example: giving SMS Consent
These non-functional examples show the ways a Customer gives SMS Consent. In the TurfBoss app, an Owner or Crew member records the Customer's verbal agreement:
Customer nameJordan Rivera
Mobile number(512) 555-0123
The Customer verbally agreed to receive Customer Texts about their service — scheduled Jobs, Reminders, and Delay Notices.
Record SMS Consent
The same agreement can be made in writing: the Customer signs a printed intake or estimate form. The Owner or Crew member then records that signed form in the TurfBoss app as SMS Consent, the same way they record a verbal agreement.

SMS messaging disclosure
Lawn-care Businesses using TurfBoss may send you Customer Texts about scheduled service at your property — a Reminder the day before a Job and a Delay Notice when a Rain Delay moves a Job to a new day. Customer Texts are sent only after you have given that Business your SMS Consent.
- Customer Text frequency varies with your service schedule (typically 1–3 Customer Texts per Job).
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help.
- SMS Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered Customer Texts.
